Building the Future

In August of 2027, Cristo Rey Charleston High School will open the doors of the renovated Old Chicora Elementary School to an incoming ninth-grade class of 100 students.

Our capital campaign seeks to raise $24 million to support:

  • renovation work
  • prepare for launching the school
  • the first two years of operating costs

Building Renovations | $13,000,000

Contribute to the cost of renovating the historic Old Chicora Elementary School in North Charleston into a state-of-the-art high school which honors the past and transforms it for the future. Overall renovation costs of $37 million are funded through a consortium of tax credit partners, an investment by Metanoia, and private Cristo Rey Charleston contributors.
