We will be accepting applications beginning August 15, 2026 for students who will be in the 9th grade during the 2027-2028 school year.
Please follow the steps to apply to begin your application to Cristo Rey Charleston High School. All required application materials must be submitted directly to Cristo Rey Charleston. Applications will only be considered once all requested forms have been received.

Requirements for Prospective Students
Cristo Rey Charleston High School will be admitting incoming 9th grade students with grades of "C" or above. Both 7th and 8th grade records will be reviewed for admissions purposes. Satisfactory attendance and behavioral reports from their current school will also be required.
Additionally, Cristo Rey Charleston students should also meet the following criteria:
Age Requirement
Students must be 14 years old on or before November 1 when entering grade nine.
Income
Meet the income requirements as outlined above and qualify for the SC Education Trust Fund Scholarship.
Work Eligibility
All student must have a Social Security number and be eligible to work in the United States.
Corporate Work Study
Be willing to participate fully in the Corporate Work Study Program as a means of contributing to the funding of their own education. This requires students to show a certain level of maturity and be comfortable conversing with adults in an office setting.
Summer Bridge Program
Students are required to attend our Summer Bridge Program. Our Bridge Program will be a two week program that will focus on building the skills needed to successfully navigate corporate work study as well as academics.
Open to Catholic Religious Values
While students do not have to be Catholic to attend Cristo Rey Charleston, they should be open to a faith-based education.
